Miscellaneous

Got the state convention edition done. Then had a short week because of staff retreat to do the edition with pre-convention meetings coverage. But there won't be too much to do tomorrow to get it finished. This gets into the really busy time of the year because of the holidays. It makes for short weeks and we have less time to work on an issue. Considering rearranging my office, but I won't have time until after the first of the year. If it will work the way I'm thinking of arranging it, they will need to do some wiring, probably. I finally got caught up Friday from being gone to convention and putting together the convention edition. Some things had to wait, so I finally got all those little things caught up.

Re: Rebate

Call the N.M. Taxation and Revenue Department at 1-888-683-4636. They're starting to mail those checks out, some people already have theirs. We're hoping to get ours this week. Pat wants to spend next weekend at a motel, just to have a getaway. It might be nice to get out of the house and have a night away from R once in a while.

Got some laundry in the dryer, I put it in as soon as we got home from church, lunch and a stop at Wal Mart for a few things. Had to get a new collar for the cat. His other one broke, I think he gained too much weight and it was too tight. So we got a bigger one this time.

P, M and I went and played nine holes of golf yesterday. Did pretty lousy, but the point was exercise. We did do that. E had gone down to my mom's, took R with him, to disconnect mom's air conditioner and close the window.

Montano has been restriped for two lanes each way, but just from east of Rio Grande to 4th Street. Wow! It really makes a difference in the traffic flow. I'm going to work that way again. Still waiting on the Army Corps of Engineers to approve restriping the bridge. When that finally goes through, it will make traffic flow even easier. There is still the bottleneck right off of Coors to go across the bridge, but it's not as bad as it used to be. Going my other route, I kept running into road construction somewhere along the line. Mayor Chavez is getting things done that have been put off, mostly because the money for them had been diverted to other projects by the former mayor.

It's a lazy Sunday afternoon. Denver and Dallas are both off this week, so we're watching NASCAR instead. I feel like taking a nap. R is in his bed for a nap, maybe I need to iron some clothes, instead. Think I'll go get a snack and something to drink. TTFN

P.S.: T, send me an e-mail, I've got several things to e-mail you. Hopefully, we'll have some pictures before long and I can e-mail those to you.
